On Saturday October 17, 2015 several EGCC members took part in the Foxy’s Fall Century ride outside Davis, CA. Foxy’s is a great event that’s always well organized. It’s an enjoyable route on backroads though orchards and farms around Winters, CA. We didn’t take on the metric or the full century rides this year. We opted for the 50k ride, although some of us vowed to ride the metric century in 2016… myself included.
Over the course of the ride we experienced a few rain showers and by the end of the day, everyone was a little damp. Our clothes and our bikes were a bit muddy but everyone enjoyed the ride. With pre-ride muffins, a mid-ride lunch stop, and post ride pasta and cupcakes available, the exercise of the ride was necessary to balance out the caloric intake.
Along the route photographers from Captivating Sports Photos were on hand taking photos of all the riders. Having the pro photographers along the route is a great benefit of this ride. I really enjoy looking at all the images after the ride. This year, the photographers captured some really great photos of our club members along the route. Take a look.
And here’s a few more great photos.
Another year and another fun ride at this year’s Foxy’s Fall Century. Thanks to Davis Bike Club and all their hardworking volunteers for putting on a great event.
